By creating self-hosted, privacy-focused tools like the Kenzy app, Rania (external link) is building infrastructures that prioritize data ownership for non-technical users in the Global South. Through AfaRise, Rania (external link) is developing a decolonial tech curriculum and an ethical audit framework to help communities assess and resist platform capitalism. Her work reimagines technology as a political space shaped by ethics, inclusion, and collective autonomy.
